The Execution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Reindl, a disillusioned family man, is living, under poor conditions, with his wife and children in Vienna when one day two gentlemen show up and offer him ten million Schillings, if he agrees to be executed at a big, public event. A retired executioner is eager to step back into his, now extinct, job, while the organizers secure the goodwill of the ministry responsible for approving the \"folk festival\". When everything seems to be prepared, a competing business group appears and tries to torpedo the contract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il vero teatro<\/a> presents a play, written by the authors of \"Der Herr Karl\", which, despite being written during the 1960s, settles perfectly into our sensationalist media age of today. Merz and Qualtinger created a play, full of grotesque situational humor and a deeper glance into the Austrian soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was asked to play a small supporting role in this project, but after reading the play it was clear to me that the character named \"Horak\" met my humor exactly. I immediately contacted Veronika (director) and asked for an audition. She accepted skeptically, but with my talent and humor, I was able to prove that the role was tailored to me and thus I was immediately hired as \"Horak\".
The subsequent collaboration was very fruitful and the production of \"Die Hinrichtung\" was a complete success, one that even Qualtinger and Merz could be proud of. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
